Sounds of the Old City

This exhibition is a part of a project ‘Guliaia po krysham’ (Walks on roofs): a series of exhibitions created by St Petersburg artists.

‘Sounds of the Old City’ is the first personal exhibition of Yana Tarasova. It features works with the harmonious views of St Petersburg, showing plain cityscapes and quiet beauty of Petersburg courtyards, streets and canals.

Atmosphere of creativity is highly important for the artist. The city displayed in Tarasova’s paintings is first of all a place where outstanding artists, poets, writers and composers lived and worked.
