About the Scientific and Departmental Archive
The Scientific and Departmental Archive of the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg collects and stores museum materials from
from its founding to the present.
These are the documents:
- Museum of Old Petersburg (1907-1916),
- City Museum (1918-1931),
- Museum of socialist reconstruction of the city (1931-1933),
- Museum-exhibition of construction and urban economy (1933-1936),
- Museum of Construction and Municipal Economy (1936-1938),
- Museum of the history and development of Leningrad (1938-1951),
- Museum of Architecture of Leningrad (1951-1953),
- State Museum of the History of Leningrad (1953-1991),
- The State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg (1991 to the present).
Archival documents reflect the history of the creation of the museum, the formation of its funds and collections, exposition and exhibition, scientific and consulting, restoration, economic and administrative, methodological and other activities of the museum and its branches, including those that were previously out of its jurisdiction. The archive also contains temporary storage documents, including personnel records, since 1985.The archive stores materials of the museum's collecting work that were not included in its main funds: memoirs, letters, copies of archival documents and pictorial materials on the history of St. Petersburg.
At the moment, the archival fund has more than 7,000 items of storage and continues to grow.
The cost of services provided by the Scientific and Departmental Archives
on the basis of Federal Law No. 125-FZ of January 22, 2004 “On Archiving in the Russian Federation”, “Rules for the organization of storage, acquisition, accounting and use of documents of the Archival Fund of the Russian Federation and other archival documents in state and municipal archives, museums and libraries, organizations of the Russian Academy of Sciences, approved by order of the Ministry of Culture and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation No. 19 dated January 18, 2007, also taking into account the recommendations of the Federal Archival Agency for the performance of work and the provision of services on a paid basis by federal state institutions subordinate to the Federal Archives:
1 Consultation on the composition and content of the archive. 1 hour 500 rub.
2 Execution of thematic requests for the establishment of individual facts, events, information (if there are sufficient initial data for the search). 1 request 3500 rub.
3 Drawing up an information statement on the results of the execution of the request with a response about the presence / absence of information on the request. 1 request 1000 rub.
4 Production of a second copy of the information certificate at the request of the user. 1 copy 50 rub.
5 Identification of cases available in the archive on the subject of the request. 1 case 10 rub.
6 Identification of documents available in the archive on the subject of the request. 1 doc. 500 rub.
7 Making photocopies of archival documents (A4 format) 1 sheet 50 rub.
